What do you call having cake thrown on your face, champagne sprayed all over you and a raft that weaves through a crowd with people in it? Why, it’s a Steve Aoki concert of course!

The Enchanted Valley Carnival evc.co.in, which kicked of at Amby Valley City on the 6th of December had a pre-launch party of epic proportions with the entertainer of entertainers of the EDM industry, who incidentally was celebrating his birthday too!

The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium was the venue of this mammoth event and this was possibly one of the first proper stadium EDM events that Mumbai has seen – and it did not disappoint.

The evening, which kicked off with Aditya Wanwari playing a lovely warm up set, paved the way for the madness, which was yet to come.

The local boys – Anish Sood and Lost Stories took off with some of the most energetic tunes heard in a while.. Anish and Rishab  weren’t just belting out big tune after big tune, their relentless energy just got the crowd raving, screaming, jumping. This was just a teaser leading up to the man himself.

The Dim Mak front-man is arguably one of the most recognized names in the dance music industry today, and coupled with his incredibly viral social media antics, just proves that he’s quite an entertainer. There isn’t a name in the industry that Aoki hasn’t collaborated with. Through relentless touring he has gained huge support from colleges. Performing an average of 250 shows a year, he has recently started touring with production via bus tours like the spring 2012 Deadmeat Tour – he headlined over 55 cities in 60 dates across the United States andCanada.

This was the second time he toured India – this time, as the headlining act of the EVC Launch Party.
